How to Use ICEBands

1. Using the ICEBands pen provided, clearly write your ‘in case of emergency’ contact number on the outside of the first ICEBand. This band will be worn by your horse
    
2. Using the ICEBands pen provided, clearly write your next of kin (or alternative) emergency contact number on the outside of the second ICEBand. This band will be worn by you.
    
3. Leave both bands untouched in a cool, dry place for 24 hours; taking care to not smudge the writing.
    
4. Take both bands to the stables and keep in a safe place (eg. grooming box)
    
5. Ensure the leg of your horse or pony is clean, dry and free from mud, grease and oil.
    
6. Take the first ICEBand and carefully roll it over the horses hoof so that it rests around the pastern. It should not be tight. (Please ensure you order the correct size using the measurements provided at www.icebands.org )
    
7. Check the writing is clear; if not simply reapply using the ICEBand pen provided.
    
8. Take the second ICEBand and carefully slip it onto the wrist of the rider, ensuring the writing is clearly visible.
    
9. Enjoy a happy and safe ride!
